It's only for the sake of organization, a lame excuse, that you find this town under Tokyo here.
It does form part of that same enormous agglomeration around Tokyo Bay, but is a separate entity altogether.


Best known to us as home town of the Kawasaki motorcycles (they make many more goodies).
The reason for our visit was the yearly Jibeta Matsuri festival: During this world-famous fertility festival, locals extol the joys of sex and reproduction by parading giant phalluses around the streets. Alas, the festival was one week later than announced, so you're out of luck; no pictures here.
We still had a jolly good time in Kawasaki, visiting other temples and the architectural museum.
