Park by the Sea
Hamarikyu

pond bridge

Old Imperial garden/park, across the canal from the famous Tsukui fish market
(which have-to-visit we skipped, thank you ever so much).

What makes this place special is that the pond water is from Tokyo Bay and, thus, salty. We were there at ebb tide and it sometimes really did not smell too fresh. Those emperors really went all out when they started gardening, there's no denying it.
Those sluices, waterworks or whatever don't belong to the park; they open to Tokyo Harbor.
