junkyards

gas pump junkyard
France 1978

My father still went to hand-operated gas pumps to fill our trusty 8 cylinders Pontiac 1948 to the gills
I didn't even have my Kodak Baby Brownie yet at the time, so can't offer you one of those - (but look!)
Like any machine (except for certain classics) the slickies below inevitably end their life as refuse.

These were made with an Iscorama anamorphic lens
a nice piece of equipment but very hard to control.
With the advance of digital photography, I will have to dump that one, too.

Later, in Tulbagh, South Africa I found this carefully-preserved antique.
Again came out without a Brownie, but this time did grab my chance.
