Cape Town
Trying to avoid the Big City (and also the malaria), there was no way to get to the country without hitting Kaapstad. We were not sorry.
There is a famous Malay quarter, which apart from the mosques, and several other attractions, of course has at least one graveyard, on top of a hill with a glorious view over town and bay. No names on the gravestones. I don't know if this is a standard Muslim procedure, but I liked it.
I also have to tell you that we didn't find a trace of jihad feelings. On the street we happened to encounter what obviously was some sort of religious leader, and he was absolutely delighted to meet someone from the Americas.
